Большая часть его речи была посвящена внешнеполитическим позициям партий, подчеркнув, что НД и СИРИЗА выступают за сохранение страны в оковах НАТО и ЕС.
С этих позиций СИРИЗА призывает КПГ поддержать его "левое" правительство и, по сути, требует от КПГ поднять «белый флаг», сдаваться, отказаться от своих принципов и ценностей, от борьбы и традиций народного движения, направленных против ЕС, НАТО, империалистических войн и интервенций. Этого никогда не будет, подчеркнул Генсек ЦК КПГ и поинтересовался: "Интересно, как звучат в ушах тех, кто считает себя левым, радикальным, прогрессивным, клятвы верности СИРИЗА в НАТО и в ЕС?"
Димитрис Kуцумбас отметил, что укрепление КПГ на выборах 25 января будет сигналом осуждения евроатлантизма, духа подчинения и соглашательства.
